Our Team

At an early age, Dr. Zakar L. Elloway became familiar with dentistry often observing and assisting his father, Dr. Norman Elloway, in his Novato, CA dental practice. Dr. Elloway hails from a large dental family with 19 dentists to date.

Dr. Elloway attended Canadian Union College in Alberta, Canada. Following graduation, he continued into Loma Linda University School of Dentistry for his Doctor of Dental Surgery and then completed the graduate program in Implant Dentistry receiving a Certificate for Preceptorship. Dr. Elloway is licensed in both Arizona and California.

Dr. Elloway attends various continuing education courses every year to stay current on the latest techniques in dentistry. Many of these courses have been in the areas of implant placement and restoration. Dr. Elloway is a member of the American Dental Association, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology, Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Arizona Dental Association, Northern Arizona Dental Society, California Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Elloway enjoys snowboarding, skiing, hockey, mountain biking, waterskiing and many other outdoor activities with his wife Michelle and daughter Atlee.

Hi, my name is Denise and I'm that friendly voice that greets you each time you call and the face that welcomes you each time you enter. I am here to help you schedule your appointment and I understand the value of your time. My experience encompasses all aspects of dentistry including, scheduling, insurance questions, financial services, office management, and consulting. With over 20 years of experience, I am able to show you how to maximize your insurance benefits as well as discuss any available payment options. I love what I do and look forward to helping you meet your dental needs. My knowledge and love of dentistry and my commitment to our patients is your assurance that your dental experience will be the most positive one possible. I enjoy crafting, sewing, baking, and spending time with family-my grandchildren are my pride and joy.

Hey there! I'm Kristin, everyone's favorite person here in the office. I don't take your money, give you injections or have any sharp instruments. I'm the person who makes sure you don't drown. I'm your lead dental assistant.    

My passion for everything dental began very young. I remember always asking my parents if it was time to go to the dentist and couldn't wait to get braces. I've been assisting my patients for over 15 years now and my passion for changing the way people feel about themselves, through their smiles, is still the most gratifying aspect of my 'job.'  

But all silliness aside; Dr. Elloway's approach to dentistry is a breath of fresh air. We get to treat each patient like family and build a meaningful and personal relationship with them. I am proud to be a part of his team and be able to give all of our patients the time and attention that is rare to find in today's fast paced community.

On my days off you'll find me camping with my family, cliff jumping, off roading and looking for the water adventure.  

Hello, my name is Arwen and I am the sterilization technician here at Dr. Elloway's family dentistry. I am in charge of all disinfecting and sanitation that is to be performed in this office. It is my responsibility in making sure that all areas are spotless when you come in for your appointment. I graduated from Spellbound School of Esthetics in May of 2024 and am pursuing a career as an Esthetician! When I am not at work, I am usually traveling with family, reading, or at the movie theatres watching a movie later in the night! I am excited to meet you and look forward to seeing you soon at your appointment!

My name is Devin and I was born and raised in western Massachusetts. I made an adventurous decision to move across the country to attend Northern Arizona University's Dental Hygiene Program and fell in love with Flagstaff and everything it had to offer! After graduating in 2019 with my Bachelor's of Science in Dental Hygiene, I moved to Phoenix to start my career and be close with my family that relocated to Arizona as well! After 4 years in the valley, I decided to move back to Flagstaff to spend more time outdoors and continue my passion for dental hygiene and serve its amazing community! I love being a dental hygienist and being able to provide patient-centered care and comfortable dental experiences! When off the clock, I enjoy spending quality time with my boyfriend, best friends and family, as well as, going for walks, traveling, dancing and listening to music!

Eliza graduated from Northern Arizona University’s dental hygiene program. She attends numerous continuing education courses to keep up with the latest methods, materials and emerging technologies. Her mother was a dental assistant, so she grew up in a dental office and learned the importance of good hygiene at a very early age, and can proudly say that she’s never had a cavity. When she’s not at work, she enjoys going to concerts, reading, writing, cooking/baking, visiting family in California (where she is originally from) and spending time with her kitties.
